New Art Series

Having just received word that I have Breast Cancer, I have been going through many emotions and changes in my life! A big change....I haven't had coffee in 3 days! I have been enjoying the most wonderful tea from Prince Edward Island Preserve Company - my favorite flavor at the moment is Rasberry Lemon. A cup of this delicious tea has been a real treat and I can't begin to tell you how much pleasure I have received from it! I am trying to find the positives in all this, and as my sister pointed out to me....I am going to be entering a new journey in my life soon. One that I am not looking forward to, and one that I am very scared about, but one that is necessary to survive! So, in going through all of this, I was wondering how or what I could do with my artwork to help me through this.
#1. I have been writing and illustrating like mad in my creative journal from my wonderful friend in Vancouver, Violette. Although I must say that some of my latest entries and creations are rather dark and sad...but I guess necessary.
#2. I would love to paint another bra.....why, who knows....but would love to have this for some reason.
#3. I am thinking of creating a "Women Series" of paintings and haven't totally figured this one out yet....but thought I would call it my "Hope & Faith Series"...and some how paint women...and attach words to them...words of meaning, hope, faith, strength.......not sure if this is the right thing to do or not....but it seems right.

I haven't really been able to work in my studio lately, but hope to get back in there and create this series. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions around this "Hope & Faith" series, or who can offer some words to attach to each woman, please leave a post!

Here is a a body form and bras I had created. The bras were used for a silent auction a couple of years ago to help raise funds for breast cancer. I still have the body form and want to put it towards something useful.
